How to measure your dog (quick):
- Measure length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
- Measure shoulder width (widest point when lying down is fine).
- Choose a mat whose length is at least your dog's measured length plus 3–6 in for comfort, and whose width is at least the shoulder width plus 2–4 in.
Example: if your dog is 30 in long, pick a mat with length ≥ 33–36 in (XL or 2XL depending on width).
