- Measure shoulder width (widest part of the body) while your dog stands naturally.
- Measure shoulder height (floor to top of shoulders/withers).
- Choose a door size whose opening is at least 2 in wider than your dog's shoulder width and 2–4 in taller than shoulder height for comfortable clearance. If between sizes, pick the larger size.
