- Measure your pet's length: from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail. Your pet's length should be 1–2 in shorter than the carrier length so they can turn comfortably.
- Measure chest girth at the widest part of the ribcage. Chest girth should be about 1–2 in less than the carrier width to allow comfortable breathing and movement.
- Measure standing shoulder height (floor to top of shoulders). Shoulder height should be at least 1–2 in less than the carrier height so your pet can sit without their head pressing the top.
