- Measure shoulder/torso width: across the widest part of the shoulders. This should be comfortably narrower than 6.3 inches so your pet can sit or face forward without being squashed.
- Weigh your pet on a scale: make sure the pet is under about 11 lbs.
If all three checks above pass, your pet should fit comfortably. The bag's hard bottom lets a pet stand or sit with support; the soft sides allow gentle give but do not increase usable width. If your pet's measurements are very close to the limits, consider whether the pet can sit calmly or turn around inside before using the carrier for longer trips.
