- Who this fits: Best for small dogs and cats — we recommend for pets up to roughly 30 lbs. Good examples: Pugs, French Bulldogs, Dachshunds, Shih Tzus, and small terriers. If your pet likes to curl up, this size will be roomy; if they stretch out fully, it may be snug.

- Measure your dog's length from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail.
- Measure across the widest part of the shoulders/chest for width.
- If your dog sleeps curled, compare the length measurement to the bed size directly. If your dog sleeps stretched out, add 6–8 in to their length before comparing to ensure a comfortable fit.
- Quick check: Your dog should be several inches shorter than 29.5 in when measured the way they normally sleep (or allow 6–8 in extra if they stretch) to feel comfortable on this bed.
