- Confirm hardware compatibility: this buffer attaches between your leash and collar/harness. Most standard leash clips and harness D-rings accept it — if your leash webbing is standard width (about 1/2 to 1 inch) and your harness uses a typical D-ring or clip, it will connect easily.
- If you’re between sizes or have a strong puller, pick the larger size (L) for added strength and buffer length.
- Quick fit test: attach the buffer to your leash and harness at home — it should clip on securely and allow free movement without rubbing against your dog’s body. If it clips on and the elastic has some give during a gentle pull, the fit is correct.
