  • Measure the widest part of your pet (usually the chest or shoulders) — this is the critical width for passage.
  • Compare your measurements to the table's Inner Opening. Choose a size where the inner opening is at least 2 in wider than your pet's widest measurement and where the pet's shoulder height is lower than the opening height so they can pass comfortably.
  • If your pet is between sizes or bulky (thick coat or broad chest), choose the next larger size.
