- Measure your dog from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (this is the length they typically lie on).
- Measure your dog's widest point (usually across the shoulders) if your dog is broad-chested.
- Add 6–10 inches to the length measurement for a comfortable fit if your dog sleeps stretched out; add 4–6 inches if your dog curls tightly.
- Compare the resulting numbers to the size recommendations above (weight and breed examples) to choose the best fit.
