- Measure your dog’s standing height to the bottom of the chest/elbow (where the bowl should sit). Choose the stand height closest to that measurement — the top of the bowl should be at or slightly below the dog’s lower chest/elbow for comfortable feeding.
- Measure the outer diameter of the bowl you plan to use. This stand adjusts and locks to hold bowls with outer widths from 7 to 10.6 in — make sure your bowl’s widest point fits inside that range.
- If your dog is between recommended sizes, pick the taller option for easier eating (especially for dogs with arthritis or mobility issues).
