- Measure your pet’s head/muzzle width — it should be comfortably smaller than the bowl diameter (6.5 in or 8.3 in).
- Check bowl depth (2.4 in or 3.0 in) — if your dog has long ears, a shallower bowl (6 inch) prevents ears from dipping into food.
- For wall-mounted height: position the top of the bowl at your dog’s lower chest for most comfort (standing measurement from floor to lower chest).
- If unsure, pick the larger size when choosing between the two for extra room to eat and drink.
