- Measure your pet from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail (not including the tail). This gives you the length to compare to the bed's length (L).
- Measure across the widest point (usually the shoulders or chest) to compare to the bed's width (W).
- Choose a bed where the length is at least 2–4 in longer than your pet's measured length so they can stretch and turn comfortably.
- If your pet likes to curl tightly, pick a size where the width is comfortably wider than their curled width; if they sprawl, choose the next size up.
