How to measure your pet to confirm fit:
- Measure shoulder height: from the floor to the top of your pet's shoulders. This should be less than the flap height (10 in). Allow at least 1 in of clearance for comfortable movement.
- Measure shoulder/chest width: the widest part of your pet's shoulders or chest should be less than the flap width (8 in).
- If your pet's shoulder height is close to 10 in or their width is close to 8 in, consider that some pets will squeeze through but may need encouragement; if both measurements exceed the flap dimensions, this door will be too small.
