- Measure body length: from the base of the neck (where collar sits) to the base of the tail — record in inches.
- Measure width: across the widest part (usually the shoulders) in inches.
- If your dog sleeps stretched out, add ~6 inches to the body length before choosing a size.
- Pick the size whose recommended max dog body length is larger than your dog’s adjusted length. If your dog is near the upper end of a range, choose the next size up for a roomier fit.
Quick fit tips: curled sleepers can size to the lower end of a range; full-stretch sleepers should size up. The guide above is based on typical breed and weight fits shown for each size.
