How to measure your dog (quick):
- Length: measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail — this should be less than 47.2 in for a comfortable full-length lie-down.
- Width: measure across the widest part of your dog while lying down (shoulder-to-shoulder) — this should be less than 23.6 in to lie flat without hanging over the edge.
- Practical tip: If your dog sleeps fully stretched, allow an extra 2–4 in beyond the neck-to-tail measurement. If your dog curls when sleeping, matching the width (23.6 in) is most important.
