• Best for: Small cats and small dog breeds such as Chihuahuas, Yorkshire Terriers, Pomeranians, Shih Tzus, and similar-sized pets. We recommend this carrier if your pet is within the 20 lb limit and can comfortably sit, turn, and lie down in a compact carrier.
• Quick fit check — how to measure your pet:
1. Measure body length: measure from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail.
2. Measure shoulder height: measure from the floor to the highest point of the shoulders.
3. Measure the widest point (usually chest girth).
• How to use those measurements: this carrier is intended for pets up to 20 lbs who can lie down and turn around inside a compact carrier. If your pet’s length and height are typical for the small breeds listed above and their chest girth is not unusually wide, this carrier will be appropriate. When in doubt, measure your pet and compare those measurements to the space where your pet naturally curls up — if your pet can comfortably curl and lie down in that space, the carrier will fit.

Check the dimensions in the description, then compare with your pet. For beds, measure nose to base of tail and add 6 to 10 inches. Our size guide has charts for beds, collars, harnesses and clothing.
